Cancun

Soon! I Promise.
.
Five days in Cancun and we never went to the beach. I saw slivers of it from the bus window as I zigzagged back and forth trying to do some errands. Things like getting my new ATM card activated proved to be a mountainous challenge. We had timed our next trip to Cuba poorly and kept hitting obstacles in making some simple reservations which delayed our departure. Cancun is not a place for those with meager means. Prices in tourist places are higher than in the states. Finding the weakest excuse that we could, we bellied up to the bar at T.G.I.Fridays. We'll get a pin for our friend Adrienne, ya...that's it! I can't understand why people travel far from their homes, to exotic locations, just to spend time in the most familiar of surroundings like Planet Hollywood or the Hard Rock but we deserved a few reminders from home after six weeks on the road. It was Dan's birthday and we were going to have a little fun...to sum up Cancun; if you have chunk of coin and are looking for a good pace to party, this may be your town.
